Description:
A "Grand vin" from 21 hectares in Lalande-de-Pomerol, 1km north of Petrus, a bijou made by the former winemaker of Cheval Blanc, Thierry Garnaud. A unique terroir: the Néac plateau, a continuation of the Pomerol plateau. One of the finest wines of the appellation, and one of the best value wines in France - medium bodied, not over extracted, complex, suave & extremely drinkable, typically with notes of truffle, black fruits, spice and cacao. Indeed, the Romans were the first to recognise the plateau's great potential for making wines, almost 2000 years ago.
